Boat odor removal with the OdorFree is easy and our ozone generator will keep boats smelling fresh for years to come. Moisture inside marine vessels, such as boats, yachts and cruise liners, creates a potential breeding ground the development of odors in many spaces onboard.

 

There are also the usual spills from eating food and drinking beverages, which get down into hard-to-reach areas, and often fish odors as well. Tobacco fumes can penetrate the upholstery and smoke residue will cling to the ceiling and other interior surfaces.

Sweat and body odors can also be a factor. The result is a potent combination for unwanted odors in various rooms, cabins and galleys.

How to Treat Boat Odors

Solution: To remove boat odor, place an OdorFree in the space and plug it in. Open any closets, cabinets and closed off areas that need ozone treatment. Set the timer depending on the severity of the odors, and vacate the area during treatment. The O3 circulates throughout the space, oxidizing boat odors in hard to reach places. As a result, your passengers will now have a much better sailing experience in a fresh smelling cabin or vessel.

Note: If the boat is air conditioned, the fan on the thermostat may be turned to the ON setting for circulation and eliminate boat odor that has built up inside the ductwork. If a boat is not used for extended periods, a plug in light timer may be used to turn the OdorFree on for an hour or so each day to prevent return of boat odors.

Most spaces require longer treatment times, so an OdorFree model with a 12-Hour Timer is more convenient. This model has a variable ozone output control and a 60-Minute Timer that automatically turns the machine off when the treatment is completed. For deeply entrenched odors, there is also a “Hold” setting for treatment longer than 60 minutes until the machine is turned off manually. Complete with plates and filter for long-term use.
